Shadows feels more confident than the last few games, mainly because it knows when to slow down and when to let the gameplay breathe. The setting works, but what surprised me most was how much better the moment to moment play felt compared to Valhalla. It’s not perfect, but I found myself actually wanting to keep going instead of feeling like I had to.
